7 things I’ll try to do more in 2022
My resolutions for the next year
--
Social traditions suggest that a time to create resolutions for the next 365/6 days around Christmas (Catholic) and New Year’s Eve.
Not wanting to break the tradition, I set myself on the path of thinking about what would I like to improve in 2022..
I guess it’s not the traditional “I want to lose weight” resolution list, but it does require working on myself.
1. Learn to say NO
This is not only good for your mental health but it’s also a huge time saver. You don’t want to go to some event, say no and spend your time doing something else.
2. Learn to value and respect your values and believes
I don’t know why, but for some strange reason, it is easier to respect someones’ values than your own.
3. Limit social media
This is something I want to do for quite some time but never dared to start. I have a passcode (someone else put it on my request) for TikTok, but I think it would be beneficial to do it on Instagram and Facebook as sometimes I feel a bit anxious after scrolling through my feeds.
4. Limit work hours
I have a full-time job and few side hustles with no set time I spend on creating and promoting and other stuff. It would be great to have a pre-set time slot during certain days I will focus on the side hustles, and do something else on other days.
5. Not everyone problems are my problems
It is so easy to get caught up in someone else’s problems and drain your energy trying to solve them. Not everyone deserves to have my time and energy.
6. Not everyone will like you, and that’s ok
How many times someone didn’t like you and it bothered you? That happened a lot and it bothers me even more that I allow it to happen.
7. Don’t justify your actions to anyone
This will be so hard to let go of as it is embedded in my brain that justification should follow every decision a make or every action I take.
Did you think about your resolutions for the next year?
